Founded in 1879, Aberlour doubled its production capacity in 1973, moving from two to four stills. A year later, the distillery joined the Pernod Ricard group. In response to ever-increasing demand, an ambitious expansion project to double its production capacity once again was unveiled in spring 2022. This outstanding version was matured in a first-fill bourbon cask and embodies the wonderfully malty and fruity style so characteristic of Speyside’s greatest single malts. Filled with exoticism and superbly pared down, the palette of flavours and aromas also suggests a very high-quality Irish whiskey.
