It is to carry high and far the “spirit” of its island that the Arran distillery has called on a choice ambassador: the famous Scottish poet Robert Burns (1759-1796). A native of southern Scotland, the latter declaimed loud and clear many verses praising the local brandy, whisky.
Bottled under the Robert Burns name, this single malt is essentially aged in ex-bourbon casks and ex-sherry casks.
An excellent aperitif whisky, without coloring and very pleasant to taste, with its fruity (citrus, apple, orchard fruit) and gourmet (honey, caramelized pecan nuts) notes.
