A Collection of Curious Casks features unique casks from The Balvenie distillery. This cask was originally destined to become a Single Barrel release. However, by the time it came to be tasted, the whisky had acquired a subtle smoky flavour, from a distillation just after 'The Week of Peat'. Note that the barley here is not peaty at all. The whisky aged for 14 years in 100% top-quality bourbon casks.
