Founded in 1846 on the north-eastern coast of Islay, Caol Ila Distillery is celebrated for producing one of the island's most elegant peated styles. More refined and airy than many of its neighbours, its spirit combines delicate maritime smoke with citrus, malt and orchard fruit. A Sherry Butt finish adds richness and depth while preserving Caol Ila's signature freshness.
Distilled in 2016 and aged 10 years, this single malt was finished in a Sherry Butt, layering dark fruits, chocolate and warming spices over the distillery's smoky coastal character. The result is a beautifully balanced whisky where rich sherry sweetness meets refined Islay peat.
