Following the closure in 2000 of the Hanyu distillery founded by his grandfather in 1941, Ichiro Akuto bought back all the casks to make bottlings that will weave a close link between a magnificent past and an equally prestigious present: Chichibu. Made from the hand-malted Concerto barley variety, this 10-year-old version is resplendent with maturity. Its sunny, aromatic palette is punctuated by fruity, floral and spicy sequences that give it an irresistible charm.
