This version of Edradour, distilled in 2012, is aged for 12 years in pinot noir casks and bottled at 48.20%. This full-bodied, velvety Highland single malt opens with notes of cherry, chocolate and ginger.

The result of a series of four bottlings, this is the meeting of the Edradour distillery and winemaker Michael Eppan, combining the finesse of the Highland gem distillate with the elegance and complexity of the wine casks in which it was matured. A true ode to the world of wine, this series brilliantly reaffirms the strong links between these two closely related worlds.

Founded in 1825 as Glenforres and renamed Edradour in 1837, this distillery was bought in 2002 by Andrew Symington, founder of the Signatory Vintage trading house. Since 2018, its single malt has been made in the adjacent brand-new distillery. An exact replica of the old distillery, it is equipped with a Morton wort cooler, the only one of its kind in Scotland, eight Oregon pine washbacks, a 4,200-liter wash still and a 2,200-liter spirit still.
