This version of Edradour is a 21-year-old bottled at its natural proof of 54.30%, aged entirely in first-fill bourbon casks. This Highland single malt offers a long, creamy version with aromas of vanilla, citrus and toffee.
Founded in 1825 as Glenforres and renamed Edradour in 1837, this distillery was bought in 2002 by Andrew Symington, founder of the Signatory Vintage trading house. Since 2018, its single malt has been made in the adjacent brand-new distillery. An exact replica of the old distillery, it is equipped with a Morton wort cooler, the only one of its kind in Scotland, eight Oregon pine washbacks, a 4,200-liter wash still and a 2,200-liter spirit still.
