Since 2020, Version Française, a range dedicated to exceptional French spirits, has been traveling across the country to meet producers and showcase their expertise. The Faronville farm-distillery, located in an 18th-century château in the heart of the fertile Beauce region, highlights a unique agricultural savoir-faire by placing grain at the center of whisky production.
In 2018, Pauline and Paul-Henri planted one hundred hectares of Lauréate barley, which was harvested, milled, and brewed on the farm before being distilled in a single pass using a Stupfler still. The distillate, intensely grain-forward and rich, is aged in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
Drawn from a single bourbon cask, this edition perfectly reflects the distillery’s deep respect for its terroir. More than just a Single Malt, Faronville 2020 is a Single Farm expression, where malt aromas are enhanced by floral and exotic notes.
