Glentauchers distillery, founded in 1897 in Keith, Speyside, is best known for its whisky production for blends. Created by James Buchanan and W.P. Lowrie, it has played an important role in the history of Scotch whisky, notably for the Black & White blend. Now owned by Pernod Ricard, Glentauchers produces an elegant, complex single malt, characterized by fruity and floral notes. Although rarely marketed as a single malt, its whisky is appreciated for its smoothness and subtlety, the result of meticulous, traditional production methods.
