Distilled in 2006, Antoinette is a rum that sublimates the savoir-faire of Maison Isautier.
It's a traditional 13-year-old aged rum, matured in ex-Cognac and ex-Rhum Isautier French oak barrels, with fine grains specially selected to favor the light extraction of the oak tannins, which slowly melt into the rum.
The nose is initially fresh, minty and aniseed, with notes of citrus, ginger and pear. This is followed by notes of cocoa and almond. The palate is powerful, with notes of wood and stewed fruit. The finish is very long, woody and fresh.
This cuvée is a tribute to Antoinette Isautier, the strong-willed woman who ran the company after the death of her husband, Charles Isautier, one of the founders.
Limited to 1744 bottles in France.
