Located in the south of Martinique, the commune of Rivière-Pilote, the birthplace of Maison La Mauny, benefits from a unique micro-climate in Martinique. This green valley, warm and very humid, has less rain and more sunshine than the average of the island. Combined with the black clay volcanic soil, this Grand Cru terroir gives the cane an exceptional sugar content.
The Ambrés of Maison La Mauny, aged for a minimum of 12 months in casks, have a light woody taste associated with sugar cane.
