Kilmory is the name of the county in which the small village of Lagg is located. It is the place where the distillery was born and that is why Arran Distillers wanted to name its first permanent single malt after it. Produced from Concerto malted barley peated at 50 ppm and water from the distillery's own borehole, this single malt has been aged in 100% first fill ex-bourbon casks. The influence of peat combined with the creamy vanilla notes of American oak forms the backbone of this single malt. This expression is quite simply the epitome of the LAGG style which focuses on the use of ex-bourbon casks with a strongly peated distillate.
