In 1971, a new distillery equipped with four stills and named Linkwood N was annexed to the older distillery built in 1821 by Peter Brown, which was renamed Linkwood A. The two facilities worked as a pair until 1985 and then again from 1990 to 1996, before Linkwood A closed permanently. With absolutely remarkable finesse and vivacity, the palette of flavours and aromas found on this version matured in first-fill bourbon casks also delivers a striking illustration of the powdery character that makes Linkwood so unique.
