McConnell's 5 Year Old was created in Belfast in 1776 and was a huge success for over 150 years. Today, the brand is thriving again and the team at the Belfast Distillery Company are working to "restore the legend". Brothers John and James McConnell would be delighted that the company they founded in Belfast all those years ago is once again in excellent health. Aged for 5 years, McConnell's is a refined blend of Irish malt and grain whiskies that have rested gently in selected bourbon casks, bringing beautiful nuances of vanilla sweetness, ripe fruit, butterscotch and peppery spice.
