Under the arcades of Bologna and in its bars, Amaro Montenegro was born. Stanislao Cobianchi was a proud and passionate young alchemist, who had received a religious education imposed by his family. Following his instincts, he embarked on a merchant ship in search of adventure, discovering unusual botanical specialties along the way. Upon returning to Italy, he decided to dedicate himself to the preparation of liqueurs and elixirs. In 1885, after four years of rigorous experimentation, he created Amaro Montenegro and founded the "Cobianchi Stanislao Steam Distillery." This amaro is crafted from a variety of plants, herbs, spices, citrus, flowers, and a few secret ingredients. Enjoy it as a digestif or in a cocktail!
