Founded in 1823, Mortlach crafts a single malt renowned for its powerful and structured style, often nicknamed “The Beast of Dufftown”, obtained thanks to a complex distillation in 2.81 passes. Alongside Longmorn, Glenlivet, Glen Grant, Strathisla, and Linkwood, Mortlach is one of the Speyside whiskies that helped write the long history of Gordon & MacPhail. Aged for fifty years, this expression matured in a second-fill sherry butt has acquired over time a patina that inspires deep reflection. Remarkably fresh, its aroma and flavour palette is deeply imbued with floral, exotic, empyreumatic, infused, and spicy tones that lend it great vitality and render it timeless.
