Vwayaj is an ode to the legendary ocean race: the Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe linking Saint-Malo to Pointe-à-Pitre, which takes place every 4 years. To taste this vintage is to plunge into an imaginary world combining the ocean, sailing and the discovery of elsewhere.
Supple and unctuous thanks to 6 months' rest in vats, this white rum is delicious, with an iodine finish. Liquorice and bergamot are more prominent in the aftertaste.
Vwayaj will sublimate dishes halfway between Brittany and Guadeloupe: oysters sprinkled with péyi lemon, ouassous with seaweed and buckwheat. To finish, a cup of papaya-caramel ice cream with salted butter, accompanied by traditional bagad music.
