Crafted at Trinidad Distillers Limited, this molasses-based rum was column-distilled in 2003, aged 19 years in bourbon casks in Port of Spain under tropical conditions, and refined for an additional 3 years in Ferrand casks in France. Bottled at 47.8% ABV, it boasts 196 g/hL AA volatile compounds and 710 g/hL AA esters.
On the nose, it captivates with fruity, funky, and spicy notes of peach, guava, figs, peppercorn, beeswax, vanilla, and brine. The palate delivers a rich, oily medley of soursop, caramelized oak, spices, coconut, and dates, while the finish is long and complex, unveiling layers of cooked pear, lime, cocoa, tobacco, and spice.
