Sorgin is the first spirit of Sabine and François Lurton, winemaker and owner of estates in France and abroad, descendant of a line of Bordeaux winemakers. In 2016, he diversified into distillation, inherited from his great-grandfather Leonce Récapet (1880). This distilled gin is a link between wine and spirits, inspired by Sauvignon Blanc, François' favourite grape variety. Its name "Sorgin" (witch in Basque) refers to its origin in the South West and to the spirit of conviviality of Basque celebrations. Sorgin is unique in its base of neutral wine alcohol and natural Sauvignon Blanc flavouring, which complements the traditional juniper and 6 different botanicals: citrus zest (grapefruit, yellow and lime), violet, broom, blackcurrant bud. A delicate and fruity premium gin. Sorgin is best enjoyed with a Premium Tonic and a twist of orange. Sorgin will also enhance all your classic gin-based cocktails.
