The young Scottish blend brand Woven makes its first appearance in the La Maison du Whisky catalogue, offering two versions: Experience Avant Gardists #1 and #2. A blend of six different whiskies aged for 35 days in amontillado sherry casks, this first blend is composed of single grain and single malts from the Loch Lomond Highland distillery, including one aged in red wine casks, and a 5 year old blend from Campbelltown. This extremely sensitive version suggests more than it imposes, leaving the taster free to wander through the peaty, smoky, gamey and mentholated meanderings of its aromatic and gustatory palette.
