This single malt is the signature bottling of the Benromach distillery, one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland, whose primary purpose is to produce old-fashioned single malts. The lightly peated single malt is a blend of first-fill bourbon and oloroso sherry casks. The result is a cereal-forward, fruity single malt, enhanced by a distinct smoky note. It combines the typical sherry profile (stewed fruit, toffee and black cherry) with a fresh character, marked by vanilla and orchard fruit aromas.
