Acqua di Cedro is a liqueur produced in Bassano del Grappa by Nardini, Italy’s oldest distillery, founded in 1779. Unlike limoncello, it is made with citron rather than lemon, a Mediterranean citrus fruit whose more acidic juice and zest provide a distinctive aromatic richness. Clear and colourless, it offers a profile often considered more sophisticated than that of a traditional lemon liqueur.
Its profile is soft, elegant and fresh. On the nose, it reveals intense citrus notes complemented by delicate floral nuances. On the palate, its refined and well-balanced character stands out for its freshness and a longer, more refreshing finish, characteristic of citron. Ideal as an after-dinner digestif, it is best served very chilled or even frozen, but also works beautifully in cocktails, where it brings freshness and complexity.
