The Benromach distillery, acquired in 1993 by the Gordon & MacPhail trading house, was likely inaugurated on October 15, 1998, in the presence of Prince Charles, after the buildings had been completely renovated. Its first single malt was launched in 2004, followed two years later by a version made from organically grown barley. Full of contrasts, the aromatic and flavor palette of this version, aged in a cask that had previously contained a prestigious Tuscan wine, reveals mineral, malty, smoky, fruity, and floral sequences whose pure and delicate character naturally recreates the Benromach style.
