A label created in 1992 by the Chais du Verger, Comte Louis de Lauriston assembles products from a small number of Calvados producers from the Domfrontais appellation. Since 1992, and with the authorisation of the Chais, the brand name is used by the house of Christian Drouin, a producer and distiller in the Pays d’Auge known for its Coeur de Lion range. Comte Louis de Lauriston brings together a growing number of Calvados, all from Domfrontais, highlighting the characteristics of this sub-region which became an AOC in 1998. The range also includes some ciders and perries, also from the same unique terroir.
