RØØF24● is the fourth release in a series of exploring the influence of finishes on the taste of the whiskies of Domaine des Hautes Glaces. This 100% malted single rye is blended from several vintages and the Domaine's two emblematic parcels: Gabert and Vulson.
After a long maturation in Cognac casks, the rye was then matured for five additional months in Sauternes casks. The southwest of Bordeaux, the Sauternes terroir in the spotlight, a first for the Domaine. Rye and Sauternes, why not? We find the rye muscling the debonair Sauternes. And the tenderness of Sauternes cradling the energy of rye. Action!
