This Flor de Caña 1997 rum is a rare limited edition, not only the first to be bottled for a partner, but also the distillery's first vintage single cask. Aged in bourbon casks, then matured in cognac casks, it evolves to the rhythm of empyreumatic, medicinal and camphorated sequences that highlight its abundantly fruity character and its extreme greediness. The palate is powerful and creamy, with intense notes of vanilla, liquorice and precious woods. The finish is more pastry-like, with notes of rum baba and crème brûlée. The finish develops the complexity of this single cask, while giving it an intense amber colour.
