Friuli’s most emblematic variety of red, the red-stemmed refosco finds its full expression in this cuvée, grown on a parcel of over forty-year-old vines. After being fermented in stainless steel vats and undergoing a short maceration period of ten or so days, Frus Refosco 2019 is aged three years in concrete tanks. This procedure allows the natural tannic structure of the refosco to shape the singular character of this cuvée.
