This Linkwood, distilled in 1990, was aged for 33 years in first-fill Sherry butt before being bottled at its natural strength of 49.10%. This rich, fruity Speyside single malt opens with aromas of chocolate, cherry and roasted citrus.

Linkwood, founded in 1825 by Peter Brown in Elgin, Speyside, is one of Scotland's oldest distilleries. It is renowned for producing subtle, elegant single malts with fruity and floral notes. Although its whiskies have long been little known outside connoisseurs' circles, the Linkwood distillery has made a name for itself thanks to the quality of its products. Its single malt is often used in prestige blends, but it is also prized by whisky lovers in search of refined distillates.

Created in 1968 by the great whisky visionary, “Mr George” Urquhart, the “Connoisseurs Choice” range now includes over 2,000 bottlings from a hundred Scottish distilleries. The story behind each “Connoisseurs Choice” whisky is told on its label: cask type, bottling date, degree, vintage and tasting notes. Always unchill-filtered, these rare single casks and small-batch expressions have been created thanks to Gordon & MacPhail's unique expertise in marrying distillate and oak casks, passed down through four generations of the same family.
