Whisky distilled in 2018/2019 have been chosen to create a masterpiece. Using mainly first fill and second fill bourbon barrels to get a good, stable maturation and create a Tsunuki’s taste of base, the use of several other types of barrels gives it a complex and deep flavor.
Mars Tsunuki Distillery was launched in 2016 in a small area enclosed by mountains. Here, the company first began producing spirits in 1909, and production has continued for over a hundred years. Mt. Kurata spring water flows here, making up the body of the spirits, and the warm regional climate from southern Japan deepens the flavors of the meticulously made single malt.
