The Single Farm Origins range from the Renegade distillery reveals a new aspect of Mark Reynier's thinking on the notion of terroir. The range features blends of pot still and column distilled rums from several plots, all from a single farm on the island of Grenada. The rums are aged on the island in the finest French and American oak casks.
This cuvée brings out the rich, powerful flavours of the sugar cane grown on the Nursery farm in the south of the island. This farm has terraced fields, with clay soils and abundant volcanic rock.
Reduced to 46%, this golden-brown rum has a sweet oaky fragrance with fruity, floral notes and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, spicy acidity accompanies aromas of caramel and citrus. The finish is persistent, smooth, clean and slightly peppery.
