Kirk & Sweeney is a rum brand from 3Badge distilled in Santiago De Los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. The name is homage to the wooden schooner best known for smuggling rum from the Caribbean to the Northeast USA during the early years of prohibition. Distilled using traditionally harvested pure sugar cane and aged in American white oak barrels for 12, 18, & 23 years to fully develop its profile. Kirk & Sweeney shows a rich mahogany colour, smoothly capturing a complex range of flavours, from earthy sugar cane and dried fruit to vanilla, sherry, and toasted oak. This is a rum well worth pursuing.
