This rum was distilled at the famous Monymusk distillery (also known as Clarendon Estate) in Jamaica. It bears the MBK label, which stands for 'light' fermentation and distillation, with a target ester level at the still outlet of between 70 and 80 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol. Distilled in 1998, this rum was aged for over 23 years in an old bourbon cask, initially in a tropical climate, before being transported to Scotland for the second part of the ageing process. Bottled in Scotland in September 2022 in 205 units. Non-chill-filtered, no colourants and raw cask.
