This rum was distilled at the famous Monymusk distillery (also known as Clarendon Estate) in Jamaica. It bears the AHJ (common clean) mark, which means, among other things, that it was distilled in an iron still and that the target level of esters leaving the still is between 60 and 90 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol. This rum was aged for over 23 years in an old bourbon cask, initially in a tropical climate, before being transported to Scotland for the second part of the ageing process. 181 bottles were bottled in Scotland in September 2022. Non-chill-filtered, no colourants and raw cask.
