Guignolet is a liqueur made from black cherries. It owes its name to the guigne, a variety of small, non-acidic black cherries. Guignolet is a creamy black cherry liqueur made by macerating carefully selected cherries in Kirsch brandy. At the end of this infusion, a sugar syrup is added and a reduction at 18° with water from the Vosges spring is carried out. This water, which flows through a subsoil of violet schist, is of great purity, giving it a singular strength. The creams, like the liqueurs, are deliberately offered at a high alcohol content with a low sugar content to offer natural flavors that are unusual in the traditional cream category. Located in Alsace, in the heart of the Val de Villé, the Jos. Nusbaumer has succeeded in expressing the richness of its terroir and fruit in this singular cuvée. Guignolet à l'ancienne is 18° and smooth and intense, allowing the fruit to express itself. It will be superb with kir or ice cream.
